We focus on helping you get comfortable with the music while building strong fundamentals and good habits from the start. By the end of the 6-week cycle, you’ll have a solid foundation to continue your salsa journey with confidence.

Beginner 2 -Development
(6-Week session $90)
Wednesdays · 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Course Dates:
Apr 29 • May 6• May 13 • May 20 • May 27 • June 3
Beginner 2 (Development) is for dancers who have completed Beginner 1 (Foundations) or for those who are already familiar with the On2 basic timing, right turn, cross-body lead, and dancing with a partner in a structured class setting.
In this progressive series, we build on that foundation by focusing on stronger timing and consistency, clear lead and follow technique, smoother transitions between movements, expanded turn patterns and partnerwork, and greater body awareness and control.
This class moves at a slightly faster pace than Beginner 1 and is designed for dancers who are ready to refine their fundamentals. Many students take Beginner 2 for more than one cycle. Repetition at this level is where balance, confidence, and true social-dance readiness are developed.
If you’re unsure if this level is the right fit, we’re happy to help with placement. No partner needed, we rotate throughout class.
